  My mother passed away on Saturday morning in Maryland. McCracken's handled both of my Grandparents as well as my fathers services without a problem. When I inquired about the logistics of who and where my mom would be taken from the hospital I was told "We have an affiliate in Maryland and also have a STORAGE facility outside of Baltimore. My MOM is not a piece of meat or clothing or furniture that should go "IN STORAGE". SHE IS OUR MOM.
  
  I stewed on the conversation for 5 minutes and then called McCracken back and told them never mind. Poor Bill McCracken the founder of McCracken's is not resting easy in his grave today. Shop Local, Shop the Independents.... and I suggest you find somewhere else for your loved one.
